The number of coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) cases in the kingdom rose to 795,951 on Tuesday with 19, 843 new infections over the past 24 hours.
According to the Public Health Ministry, 19,445 infections were from the general population and 398 among prison inmates.
The ministry also announced that total recoveries climbed to 578,140 after 22,806 more patients recovered from the illness.
Meanwhile, 235 new fatalities brought the death toll to 6,588. From the total number, 6,494 of deaths happened in the third wave.
On Saturday, the number of daily Covid-19 cases hit a new high of 21,838, while the number of new death tolls in Thailand also hit a record high of 212.
