Bangkok, Thailand. The Office of the Agriculture Attaché is hiring driven, competent individuals to fill the position of Agriculture Specialist/Assistant, the Philippine Embassy in Bangkok announced on Monday, July 18.
The embassy said the candidate must be a graduate of agriculture, agri-business or related courses with at least two years of work experience related to the job. In addition, he/she must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills both in English and Thai. Analytical, research, and writing skills are also a must.
The qualified applicant will work at the Embassy of the Philippines in Bangkok, the announcement further stated.
Agriculture Specialist: Work responsibilities
According to the embassy, the work responsibilities of the qualified candidate include the following:
*The Agriculture Specialist/Assistant will directly report to and will be under the direct supervision of the Agriculture Attaché.
*She or he is expected to provide technical assistance to the Agriculture Attaché in monitoring and handling all agriculture and agricultural trade issues relevant to the Philippines in all countries of coverage by the office.
*She or he will assist in all trade and investment promotion activities as well as provide support to the Agriculture Attaché on administrative matters.
*The position will require her or him to do some research, conduct reviews and analysis, and write reports and articles.
*The Agriculture Specialist/Assistant will also represent the Agriculture Attaché in meetings or events, when instructed.
