THAILAND. The Philippine Embassy in Bangkok is conducting a survey for a proposed special conduct of licensure examination for teachers in Thailand this year.
Qualified teachers who are interested in taking the Special Professional Licensure Examination for Teachers (SPLE) in 2022 are urged to complete and respond to the survey in order to ascertain the actual demand for SPLE among Filipino teachers who are currently located in Thailand, the embassy announced on Tuesday, July 12.
The embassy said at least 300 confirmed examinees are needed for the Philippine Professional Regulation Commission’s requirement (PRC) to consider scheduling an SPLE in Bangkok slated for September 2022.
However, the Philippine consulate clarified that it only acts as a facilitator in identifying the number of interested examinees and that “the conduct of the SPLE is the sole discretion of the PRC.”
The survey begins today, July 12, and will run until July 20, 2022. The result will be submitted to the PRC for further evaluation.
