English Teacher from Phitsanulok vies for Ginoong Tiktok 2021

Pol Kirby Viloria, an English teacher from Chalermkwansatree School in Phitsanulok, Thailand is all set to be @kruphtiktokers first Ginoong Tiktok 2021.

Ginoong Tiktok 2021 is an online search that aims to promote unity among Filipino tiktokers and teachers in Thailand. It is spearheaded by @kruphiktokers.

Ten Filipino tiktokers all over Thailand are competing for the title. These past few days, the contestants have already competed in the minor categories including Casual Wear, Talent, and Formal Wear.

During his live interview session with the organizers, Viloria expressed how Tiktok helped him maintain his sanity at this time of pandemic.

“Every time I open this platform and see Pinoy teachers share their talents in singing and dancing, it makes me forget that I am confined inside the four corners of my room”, he said.

“Tiktok has become an outlet of expression to many Filipino teachers at this time of pandemic. It helps us ease our boredom and relieve our stress as we work from home”, Villoria added.

Villoria’s advocacy focuses on Ka-kwentuJUAN: Speak Up, Save Lives.

“I’d like to encourage everyone to reach out to someone. Your simple ‘hi and hello” may just be able to save someone who needs a friend,” he shared.

Pol Kirby is from Baguio City in the Philippines. He has been an English teacher in Phitsanulok for two years now.

Kirby enjoys wave boarding, reading, joy-riding, cafe’ hopping and working out if not tangled with work. He confessed to be passionate  about culinary arts, theatre, music and dance, visual arts and modelling.

Aside from being a teacher, he also serves as the Communications Officer of the Filipino Council of Phitsanulok (P’lok Pinoyz).

“If I get crowned Ginoong Tiktok 2021, I will use this platform to combat negativity in social media. I will continue to create contents that will spread good vibes among my fellow OFWs in Thailand and around the world,” Villoria said.

“I will continue to push and uphold my advocacy in speaking up and listening to those who might need it,” he added.
