The candidates for Miss International Queen 2022 showcased their national costumes on Monday, June 20 in Bangkok, Thailand.
Fuschia Ravena, Miss International Queen Philippines, wore an ensemble designed by Cary Santiago.
Santiago drew inspiration for the national costume from Santa Cruzan, an annual religious tradition in the Philippines held in the month of May, where Filipina women take part in a procession wearing beautiful gowns and dresses.

About the Costume of Miss International Queen Philippines
It’s Fuschia wearing Fuschia
The majestic arc with the cross symbolizes triumph with the red velvet curtain symbolizing royalty.
The intricate details and patterns pays homage to the craftsmanship of our ancestors with the bosom flowers representing the decor of the ‘KARUSA’ (carriage).
The ornate doll is depicting the candidate herself. It’s Fuschia wearing Fuschia.
And as the Philippines (specifically Cebu where Fuschia hails from), just recently celebrated its Quincentennial Commemoration (500 years) of the Magallanes-Elcano Expedition, the best way to pay tribute to this momentous event is by honoring one of the traditions we have been practicing, that stood not just in the worse, but most importantly, in the best of times!
Miss International Queen is an international beauty pageant established in 2004 for transgender women. It is produced by Tiffany’s Show Pattaya Co., Ltd. and is held annually in Pattaya City, Thailand.
If Ravena takes home the crown this year, she will be the third Miss International Queen from the Philippines, following in the footsteps of Kevin Balot and Trixie Marestela, who both won in 2012 and 2015, respectively.
The coronation night is on Saturday, June 25.
