PHILIPPINES – Vice President Sara Duterte said on Saturday that the Office of the Vice President (OVP) has created satellite offices in six locations around the nation in an effort to expand the number of Filipinos who may avail of its services.
In a Facebook post, Duterte announced that OVP satellite offices were set up in the cities of Dagupan, Cebu, Tacloban, Zamboanga, Davao, and Tandag in Surigao del Sur.

“Sa aking unang buong araw bilang bise presidente, nagbukas po tayo ng mga satellite office sa iba’t-ibang bahagi ng bansa upang matulungan ang ating mga kababayan na magkaroon ng madali at agarang access sa mga serbisyong mula sa Office of the Vice President,” Duterte wrote in the post’s caption.
Despite working in Metro Manila for most of the weekdays, Duterte has stated that she would continue to reside in Davao City, a similar deal done by her father, former president Rodrigo Duterte.
Vice President Sara Duterte is also the education secretary. On Monday, the VP is scheduled to attend a turnover ceremony at the Department of Education to formally replace Sec. Leonor Briones.
